@Ranshin077 If we was independent from Europe they would have not crashed our energy market, but we are taking steps to avoid that happening again with wind and nuclear in our own backyard. Having France and Germany run things on the world stage for Europe would mean that Ukraine would already be Russian, so that's a load of codswallop. The U.K. should become more independent, this does not mean insular, but trade should be in our interests, not in other countries interests. Peter must think that U.K. is already part of NAFTA, but we are part of Europe and will be the biggest economy by 2030!?!

@curiositycloset2359 Agreed and Mainland European energy reliance on Russia has caused us problems in the energy market due to the scramble when their supplies were cut, so they have caused the biggest crisis since the second world war (Excluding Russia). It has caused us problems due to the transition stage that we are in with energy, but by 2030-2035 all our electric generation will be majorly renewable and in our own backyard, this will not be the case for Mainland Europe which will still be reliant on carbon energy from a mainly hostile market!?!
