It will be a tragedy for the old and vulnerable, I think the C.C.P. is hoping the economy will continue as workers are younger and fitter and less likely to have long term symptoms or death, but these workers may also have to look after their parents, so it's an absolute lottery and will test the C.C.P. and all their institutions, the effects on the World might be less dramatic as recessionary pressures are in force in 2023 as well as a continuation of the war, which should be reaching a tipping point, the C.C.P. will also clamp down on widespread bad news and will edit same!?!

@lloydgush The rest of the World has already passed through the COVID pandemic and it is behind us, unless a more virulent strain is formed in China, the Wider West will go through a mild recession following COVID and the ongoing war, that is hardly a crisis, what's happening in Ukraine at the hands of the murderous Russians is a crisis, and they still have strong morale and a mission!?!

@brianmcloughlin3551 China will have its hands full for a number of years, Russia is the immediate problem as it is losing in Ukraine but won't accept defeat, and as long as Russia remains in Ukraine, there will be no peace, to much blood has been shed!?!
