Take the Russian occupied Zaporizhia Region and the remainder of Kherson Region, disable the Kerch bridge and use the long range precision missiles on the Russian bases in Crimea, after a few months they will be gone, no invasion required hopefully, but Ukraine should not give in, there will be no peace if Russia remains in Ukraine!?!

Russia has not got the economy to sustain a protracted war of this magnitude, the price caps were only implemented in December for Crude and February for Refined (Two thirds of the Gas supplies are already up the spout). They do appear to be doing a grab and stop possibly with the threats, but that is highly unlikely to work with Ukraine. It does not make much sense but perhaps Russia doesn't back itself for the long term anymore!?!

  7. Russia's leadership is under immense pressure due to the war, particularly Putin, the mutiny, the fall out from the mutiny and continuing rumours means that it's not over yet, Ukraine just got to keep doing what they are doing, it's tough but they are getting somewhere!?!

We will see when they start using the glsdb it's not been tested on the front as yet, Russian and Ukrainian artillery are at parity at present and should remain so, even with North Korean shells, Ukraine may get more if the West ramps up production, however Ukrainian artillery are more accurate on average than Russian artillery!?!

Delays are frustrating, but sometimes stuff is just not available, production lines however are being ramped up for ammunition, why it took so long is not made known, but it will accelerate, jets need trained pilots for that system, patriot required training, it's not just supply it's a lot more complicated, but whatever problems Ukraine is having, Russia is doing worse!?!

Bakhmut is a political target for control of the Donbas, as there are two bigger cities in the Donbas under Ukraine control which should offer even more resistance than Bakhmut, however it is best to hold land as long as it takes a higher price from enemy forces. Ukraine's offensive has been hampered by the wet weather in Kremmina and the North generally by swamping their armoured units in mud, the trench style warfare is painfully slow there at present and favours the Russian defensive positions, this could all change quite quickly in more favourable weather!?!

  12. ​​ @dylanvogler2165  Yes, Baltics first, Nordics and UK closely behind them, then the rest closely behind them, except France and Germany who are catching up but not at full speed yet, and Bulgaria (Mostly yes but a sizeable lobby of "Commies", got that from a post above), Hungary (Population generally yes, ruling regime no) and Serbia (Not sure if they are on Russian or Ukrainian side but certainly not NATO'S), most of poor Moldova are hoping for a Ukrainian victory and clear out of Transnistria afterwards!?!

  14. What ever it takes to get the Russians out, it appears that the West will support their campaign for the long haul, and hopefully as Russia's economy is only suited for a short haul at this level, Ukraine will prevail!?!

  15. Russia is moving its troops around and doesn't seem to have a cohesive plan at present (Ambitions, but not workable plans), except for taking Bakhmut. When they settle down Ukraine will assess what's in front of them, and plan accordingly. I don't really see a threat from Belarus, Ukraine has defences up there now, which they didn't at the outset of the war, and I can't see a successful operation from Russia being launched from there, that doesn't mean to say they won't do it, it means that it will go nowhere!?!

The war crime indictment is not really aimed at Putin as such, it just clips his wings in reality, it is aimed at the more exposed people below him who may not in the future have Putin's and Russia's protection like the Russian Woman child snatcher (I got one of "those" myself), this will ripple through all the people who Putin gives orders to!?!

Ukraine has tough battles ahead, hopefully the Russians will make loads of mistakes and shorten the war, but it will more likely be from Ukraine having to mercilessly drive them out, two steps forward, one step back with whatever they get given, Zelenskyy is rallying support above what previous Ukraine leaders would have achieved, but by now it should be more, especially the air defence and longer range missiles (100km) and about 500 more tanks. Russia is the dying empire, the Wider West has its eyes on China but it's not even on the E.U. radar as yet!?!

  20. We have helped Ukraine a great deal and at great cost to the Wider West, Mainland Europe had to reroute most of its energy supplies, and hopefully the support will be all the way to a Ukrainian victory!?!

  22. Wagner can have the top Russian military equipment but Poland will stop them in their tracks, there is no comparison, Ukraine's army will one day be up to Poland's level and they still depleted Wagner in their present form by 80%!?!

  24. ​​ @uhhowaboutno4180  Now if you said that seven months ago I 'might" have believed you, but not now comrade, Bakhmut might fall but not many troops remain in Bakhmut, it's tough for Ukraine, it's tougher for Russia and their most capable force is being terminated and not only by Ukraine, many battles will be won or lost but victory will be Ukraine's, Russia has already lost, it's just how much by at present!?!

I don't think we need to expand the battle and extend Ukraine's logistics line, the Ukrainian's need more air defence, which the West is providing, a little on the late side, but at a faster pace lately, so hopefully that will solve that conundrum, not all of it, but enough to make it unworkable for the Russians. The best way to stop Russia is to boot them out with lethal force, which the Ukraine Army is doing at present, Crimea seems to be a "relatively easy target" (Supplies can be cut from there quite easily, as it is within range) once the remainder of the Kherson Region is cleared, but the Donbas area is going to be Himars, Himars and more Himars before a big clear out can go forward!?!

  28. ​ @larry573  Bakhmut is a relatively little place, it is suffering and being pummeled by the barbaric Russians but after the war, it will be rebuilt, the majority of Ukraine remains as it did before the war, Ukraine is paying a high price for the Russian aggression but Russia will pay a higher price, Putin lies will be found out this year and Russians will find out the true cost, no propaganda will hide it!?!

It's more important to deplete the Russians whilst minimising your losses, land can be retaken but it shouldn't be defended at all costs just for the most gain, like in the South it's to cut off logistics and make 150,000 Russian troops dangerously short on supplies, around Bakhmut Ukraine can just pick off the Russian attacker's as they get in range of the hills, they don't need to take territory just leave the Russians run into them, and in the North the same sort of thing, leave Russia advance and Ukraine defend, if it's gets weaker in the North as Russia shores up the South then look at attacking the North!?!
