Yes China wants its customers to accept it's unacceptable global (Read China) peace initiatives, agree to all its claims to international waters and borders and introduce a domestic bill against foreign companies which they can use to gain an advantage over firms who invest in China by law and for any jumped up concern, I'm sure the World will agree to their demands and will not try CCP self sufficiency themselves, well actually they will continue trading but over a little time without China!?!

The intent will work as long as they monitor it, Biden's administration is hurting China's tech because the whining has increased greatly, same with De-Risking or De-Coupling or if you like self sufficiency as the CCP calls it, but seems to think that's not being one sided, well they have got away with it for a long time but no more!?!

They are increasing their debt burden as Xi whilst being a great dictator in China, there is no other show in town, he is a poor Economist and the path he is leading China down, like you say, is already a dead end, domestic consumption is the key which means more Chinese people maintaining more of their money to spend on Consumption and less on the CCP, which to an ideological leader like Xi is unimaginable!?!
