China has a big domestic market which appeals to investors, but its whole structure is failing under its systemic problems, the property market will never return as by 2100 China's population is forecast to be 800 million or less and the majority will be over 50, it has about 150 million empty or unbuilt homes with 500 million occupied homes, China builds on average 6 Million homes per year so it has 25 years supply (If they finish off the unfinished ones which are about 60 million) it needs to be reset by a 50% reduction in prices and a 90% reduction in building!?!

Pettis assumes the super regulator will make the right decisions in line with his proposed trajectory of domestic consumption and not infrastructure, that doesn't appear to be where the CCP wants to go, at present they are carrying on regardless, all China's citizens will have a price to pay in the end!?!
