The poor inland Provence's citizens will be able to feed themselves, they won't have big or any mortgages and practically no loans, their house will more than likely have been in the family for a few generations. This will be in stark contrast to the 700 million middle class in China who may have several expensive apartments, huge loans and looming reduction in wages or unemployment and can't grow their own food, it could be a major catastrophic collapse (Unlikely) or a slow puncture to the new normal (More likely)!?!

@Mobleymoon It might relate to his "family" situation in China, I don't know, but that's my best guess!?!

@alanparsonsfan China is going through so many systemic problems that no country has faced, largely by its own hand, it will be in a strange situation that unemployment will go down in the next decade because workers will be old aged and the unemployed will be gainfully employed to replace them but only to support a more dependent non working sector of the state, by the 2030's China will have a 68% dependency rate rising faster towards the 2050's!?!

@k-matsu China has the most severe negative population growth caused by implementing the one child policy so in less than a decade it will be a major problem. China's property market needs to be reset to an average of 50% reduction across the board (Tier 1 Cities less, others more!), this will also cause a 10 to 15% reduction in GDP, it accumulated debt by Central and Local Government (On and Off books debt) on funding non productive infrastructure development and this is also a major problem and increasing domestic wages to improve domestic consumption will prove very problematic for the CCP, they will have to hand back money to its citizens and they won't get a cut, it just seems a step to far for them, they might as well spend some more of its citizens savings until it has to make a choice, 7 years I reckon!?!
