I will say this, when comparing Nazi experiments to Japanese experiments, the Nazis almost always had some medical, ideological or war related reason behind the experiments, but it seems the Japanese were just like "Hmm I wonder what I could do to make this person's last moments on earth absolutely horrifying"

"make it legal!" bro I live in Cali, and our black market for weed has fucking SKYROCKETED since it was legalized. legalizing a drug doesn't automatically make everything better legalization+prevention of black markets+rehab clinics are the only way you can ever have a drug be good when it's legalized otherwise you'll have people like my dealer, who basically works for a dispensery but he sells all the stuff on the black market so he doesn't have to pay taxes on it (and thus increasing the price of the pack)

@greentoby26 but that's the thing, everyone just wanted legalization they didn't want to wait for everything else to be set up. the American public was pretty dead set on "full legalization now" and pushed multiple states to do it without any adjacent infrastructure quite simply it's the "simple fix would be legalizing cannibis" argument thats causing the problem for legalization, that and the way the US is structured when it comes to States and Fed make it a little impossible to have that infrastructure unless the Fed makes a comprehensive plan to legalize and control the supply and effects of the drug and its also not just taxes, dispensaries can't/wont sell to certain target groups due to corporate structure and local laws BUT a dealer can sell to those groups with no issues and also not have to worry about taxes being added onto the product. it sounds fucked up, but when you are losing out on thousands of potential customers just because they are under the age of 18 or 21, a dispensary will start looking for other ways to service that community, and that's where a Dealer comes in

tbf a lot of modern medical knowledge came from Unit 731 especially a lot on the human body, and in all respects, it was a well known fact that once the US felt they gained all relevant knowledge from Unit 731, they would kill all of its members, which is exactly why Shiro Ishii kept upwards of 20% of the experiments secret from the Americans up to the day he died
