  1. Drach, you butchered ALL of the vowels on the ship names. But the solution is quite simple, because the problem is the medieval vowel shift, that many languages underwent and the brits did NOT reflect in their written language up today! I would suggest, you try pronouncing german vowels as follows: a as in harbour, e as in seldom but longer, i as in feet, o as in port, u as in rude, ä as in heavy, ö as in feud and ü as in kryptic.
