Nah... Benny and Björn are at least as good as Paul and John, but if you compare George and Ringo to Frieda and Agneta, the girls win effortlessly 🙄

You are absolutely right, but for me his greatest archievement was the discovery of Kate Bush and helping her to get into the music industry😂❤

Key changes may be dead in mainstream music, but it ist very alive in the huge grassroots music of today. An example: Paradis by Wintergatan (the guy with the marble machine). And you know the band is good, when you find live recordings of 'em performing nearly as well as in studio.

Listen to Police's King of Pain... several of these modulations. Sting was never shy to modulate and used it to great effect.

I don't care anymore from Phil Collins deserves a whole video... the creative use of the Moog Taurus is just one example of the genius of that song😂❤

Next Interview: Antonio Vivaldi😂❤

@momen_mahri guess who invented Hard Rock? Antonio Vivaldi!

I was introduced to Bach by the famous book from Douglas R. Hofstadter: Gödel, Escher, Bach. I was a student then and had seen Gödels incompleteness theorem in class, saw the curious intertwined pictures of M.C. Escher but Bach? Of course i was vaguely aware, that he was a barock musician but never listened to his pieces conciously. But after reading the before mentioned book i grabbed a CD of Bachs music and listened... and been a fan since then😂🎉❤

Running up that hill is a masterpiece. I listen to it since 40 years over and over. Love the song, it is so beautiful. And i love her 2015 album Aerial.

Now that Wakeman and Gilmore we're interviewed by Rick, how dare he not😂🎉

Rick, i just found an hour long video of a gig JMJ did in Versailles recently. Epic! Of course he played the song with the utmost odd melody: Oxygene2. Could you please dissect it so we can understand why it works. Because it does.❤😂

Same here, nothing to be ashamed of😂🎉

Go listen to Sinnead O'Conner: Troy, ABBA: The Winner Takes It All, and Phil Collins: I don't care anymore. These are MEANINGFUL lyrics. These saved lives. ❤🎉

This interview will open even more doors for you, Rick! 😂 Sting, Wakeman and now Gilmore... all interviewees seem to enjoy it❤ Have you asked David if he could arrange an interview with Kate Bush?🎉

That gives me nothing. At all. Maybe it is because i came from Ricks video dissecting Boston - more than a feeling. Nearly half a century old but sky high above EVERYTHING i heard here. Young people listening exclusively to this crap are missing so much. From Vivaldi to Bach, Mozart to Beethoven, Elvis to Hendrix, Oldfield to ABBA, Toto to Nirvana.

Whenever i fetch one of the three books from Tolkiens Lord of the Rings, an Alan Parsons Project song pops into my mind. I used to play his music up and down while reading this tome😂

There are only a couple of musicians i can think of that have this instant recognizable sound. Mike Oldfield comes to mind. This is a feat only the best of the best exhibt because people listen to their music over and over.

Rick, i think the "common listener" is not that stupid. Autotune is noticeable. Many could care less, but it is not invisible to the untrained ear.

Running up the hill by Kate Bush shows why blocking doesn't work. People get old and die and if a musician does not allow their music to be used, the people used to this music will fade and so will the music of the blockers. You need to get new, young people to like that music to stay relevant. Why tf is Bach still relevant after 400 years? Great music played every day!

Morris Pert and Mike Frye 1981 in Montreux? Their drum battle in the Taurus1 part is better than Mike Oldfield on Guitar, Rick Fenn on Bass, Tim Cross on Keyboards and Maggie Reilly on vocals together.😂
