  1. Key changes may be dead in mainstream music, but it ist very alive in the huge grassroots music of today. An example: Paradis by Wintergatan (the guy with the marble machine). And you know the band is good, when you find live recordings of 'em performing nearly as well as in studio.

  2. Listen to Police's King of Pain... several of these modulations. Sting was never shy to modulate and used it to great effect.
