Secondly, who cares if they did do it? Their nation is already being torn apart by war. What is Russia going to do about it? Go to war with ukraine? ha ha ha. US did it. THey know Russia knows. They dont care, and in fact are happy they know. THe lie because they dont want to look like liars and its satisfying to continue rubbing it in Russias face. Frustrating them and knowing they dont deserve the real explanation to be made known, ever.

The only superpower acknowledged as such by military experts around the world is the united states. And luckily for Russia they are not in this "conflict". Russia wants to return to being taken seriously as a superpower as they were in the USSR days. Unfortunately for them, they have a long way to go. Losing to ukraine in a one week war thats going past a year in front of the world wont impress anyone. And their already poor economy decending faster than a tail shot mig isnt a very good recipe for that either. Costly war prolonged, tons of sanctions, pipeline "accidents"... They are more likely to become a 3rd world country than a superpower ever again.

They were abiding by the in place or coming sanctions against russia. They made the right decision. And no, "everything" didnt become expensive because of natural gas being more expensive.
