  1. You think that if China struck first, American bases... Destroyed US jets and sank ships.... You think every single member of nato wouldnt be ready to go, your out of your god loving mind. At worst nearly every and maybe every member of nato... + a few non-nato allies like philippines (written joint defense treaty) etc... Japan would be "in it" also. To say they would turn a blind eye is nuts. They are currently doing joint military drills with US and Philippines! ...Pretty much for that one reason....China. China would be straight up f***ed and they know it. Thats why they havent touched taiwan and likely wont call the US's bluff. Because they know it isnt one.
