Japan should have stayed? hahaha. Everyone in the philippines knows the atrocities they committed and that huge majority of filipinos see USA as heroes for freeing the country from them. (as well as doing the same from the Spanish). To infer otherwise is just straight up nuts. To infer the US Philippines relations currently is anything other than a good one is also nuts. Nobody likes or trusts either one. Why does USA have so little land mass compared to China and Russia? They could have easily taken and kept as much as theyve wanted over the last 200 years. Why not take over Canada? Or Mexico? Or all of south america as well? None of those have had any real military deterrents to the US. What about other countries around the world? WHy havent we stolen other countries resources when we were perfectly capable of doing so many times through the years? Because the USA is a model for the world of what a country should be. They couldnt be so powerful without much world support. And you dont get that from being a crooked greedy canniving dictatorship nobody trusts.
