Then lost a heck of a lot of it, and finally figured out it was too hard to continue to try to take more offensively because they were losing ground that they already had... Thats why they deeply dug in and now there isnt a lot of movement either way.... Just slow gains for ukraine..Sorry to burst your bubble but it is what it is.

Overall, Ukraine has taken over half the land Russia originally held... At times earlier on, gaining land quickly, more recently, since russia was forced to go on defensive, more slowly.. But overall, retrreat none the less.

  20. RUssia had twice as much land occupied at the very beginning, before ukraine was ever ready to fight a war. THeyve been losing ground ever since. lol. Guess unprotected land is a bit easier to take by inept militaries. lol.

Russia lost 17000, got run out of the country, not because they wanted to or thought it was time to leave, gave afghans a national holiday for USSRs loss, and fell apart into 15 pieces afterwards...
