They did once. It didnt work out well.. The us is not even more powerful and russia is less powerful than ussr was... It would not go well. I think they have felt enough humiliation over that past event and their current situation with ukraine, to last 10 lifetimes.:face-purple-crying::face-green-smiling:

They tried once. It didnt work out so well for them. They ended up leaving cuba hurriedly, with tail firmly tucked under. ha ha. I dont think they want that kind of humiliation yet again... Especially when their military cant even beat the poorest nation in europe, right next door to them...lol

@timminh468 Sorry kid. Your facts are askew. Must be that soviet history class. lol US beat them in a week. HELD the nation for 20 years. Lost only 2400 men the entire time in afghanistan....lol Russia (ussr) on the other hand, years earlier lost to that same afghanistan, losing over 15000 men. Got run clean out of the country. There is now a holiday afghans celebrate for the event; MUJAHIDEEN VICTORY DAY... And USSR fell apart immediately after, into 15 pieces...:text-green-game-over:

@timminh468 US handed over nothing to the taliban. The afghan government did. It wasnt taken until US left... Thats THEIR problem. US didnt "want" afghanistan and they held it long enough trying to "help" the government that was in place. Keeping them in place was only a secondary insignificant goal of the US. The primary goals were achieved as intended. Hope that clears up your confusion.

@patrickkolawole4104 Soviet russia is a big part of why there was a 2nd war. Helping the nazis.... Then Russia got destroyed by those same nazis they were partnering with, and only reason Russia even exists at all now is because the USA saved them... 27 million russians dead. Military in shambles. It was the way of the dinosaur for them until US lifted them up with her merciful hand... Funny I dont recall hearing Russia tell US to mind their own business then... Guess that chapter was omitted from the history books??

Russia already got run out of cuba once. I would imagine US will have even less tolerance the second time around... Sorry but the weaker nations dont dictate terms to the world. Russia will take their licks and be good little boys. They cant even handle the poorest nation in europe in a war.. They dont want any of the big boys.

Cant be done. lol Russia and china arent "partners" despite how badly you wish they were. They dont like or trust each other. They will not fight together for each other, heck China wouldnt even give Russia weapons when they went to them begging. They said NOPE! They couldnt match USA fighting so close to USA. Would be a waste of time and money. Russia cant handle the poorest nation in europe and is having its capabilities greatly diminished anyway. And US has the full backing of Nato... Nothing but a pipedream...

@arnoldmagqaza7860 Uh...No they dont. lol. They supposedly have a listening "spy" facility. Thats not the same as a "military base". MIlitary base houses manpower and/or weaponry. Thats simply NOT the case. Nobody is concerned about a facility just intended to try to listen in on US communications... That sort of thing is going on all over the world, and nothing more than a very minor annoyance. lol. Only one country tried to put their weapons in cuba, and that was USSR... Didnt work out very well for them. ENded up humiliated in the process. lol. Becuase of that incident, USA now has a much stricter, more thought out plan for dealing with that kind of situation. And they wont let it go as long as they did last time before humiliating the interloper, i assure you. lol And cuba is well aware of the consequences to them as well so they are far less likely to ever agree to it in the first place..

Russia has no power to go tit for tat with the us.. Cant happen. USA is powerful enough to prevent it... Russia isnt... US is the policemen of the world... RUssia are one of the criminals... ITs that simple...

@FirstLast-zk5ow No first, I dont just "believe" that... I KNOW that. USA set up a blockade of ships and told Russia they would not get into cuba with any more shipments of weapons. Russia said they would not accept or comply with the blockade... They were bluffing they got nearly to the blockade, saw that the US was not going to back down, then turned around and went straight back to Russia. Russia then were forced to an agreement that had russia gettting their junk out of cuba. It wasnt doing them any good, when they were not going to be allowed access to it further. lol As a token of good well and to make them feel a little better, USA also made some moves in europe with their weaponry. But it was all forced with the US show of naval force and Russia losing the game of chicken...
