  1. Ha ha. Thats always been the public perception. Mainy due to western media trying to paint them as the villain (and rightfully so) but history tells a different tale. They were absolutely destroyed by the German war machine in ww2, only still exist now because USA fed and supplied them, then jumped into the war and 100% saved Russia. They didnt perform all that great in Afghanistan, racked up large casualties against Afghanistan but it was civilians mostly due to indiscriminate dumb bombing of cities. Of course, during the cold war they were in shambles and fell apart into 15 pieces. lol That doesnt bode well for military power. Having looked into them and their history for years now, I am very unimpressed. Frankly I would be more concerned with a showdown with China by far.
