  2. Believe it or not, nations have friendships, alliances and partnerships. Have lots of them. Do good deeds. And you end up like the USA. Friends all over the globe. The number one economy and number one military in the world. Have no friends, backstab the very few acquaintances that you do have and be malcontents...you end up like Russia. A disgruntled nation, oppressed people... with an ecomomy about to drop out from under them... With their ruble worthless... who cant even beat the poorest nation in europe. But nobody has "ganged up" its still a one on one fight and RUSSIA went on the attack. They brought it on themselves. Ukraine has far less men and less weapons capabilities since they have only been given "excess" of what other countries could afford to give up without hurting their own defense capabilities. They still have no naval support no real air capabilities compared to russia and no jets given by nato and no long range missiles... This should still be a huge mismatch... But Ukraine still continues to whoop that butt. Hope this clears up your confusion.
