@davidmcmillan2806 old hard used in the desert junk, most over 20 years old. General Millly said it was cheaper to leave than cost to haul all that junk back home. Shopping plus refurbishing costs etc. Would be stupid. Especially when all that junk was long since replaced in the arsenal with already brand new reliable equipment. Because they have friends and interests all over the planet. Also, because they can... Why is Russia in ukraine, all of the ex Soviet nations , most that do not want them there, the middle east, africa, the arctic etc... Hope that clears up your confusion kid.
