  5. THey proved just the opposite. Afghanistan was beaten in a week and hid for 20 years after 50000 taliban were killed. US only lost 2400 the entire 20 years. NOBODY in history has EVER lost 2400 men and lost a war. Vietnam lost 1.1 MILLION with an "M" Us lost 58,000.   7. Vietnam US lost 58000 troops. Vietkong lost 1.1 MILLION with an M. There was no military loss. The government simply had political goals for south vietnam government that were simply not possible. New president came in power that didnt support the war, and pulled the troops.
