  4.  @johnfeng4374  No. But my country has a very large say in whether Taiwan gets invaded and or taken over. And before you scream and complain about .--"But Beau its not your countries business", Taiwan WANTS our help. Thats all the "permission" the USA needs. It is every bit as much USA's business now as it is Chinas. In fact, more. I didnt see Taiwan asking China to take them over.

At its peak, the Roman empire ruled/was made up of the current countries: England, France, Italy, Austria, Switzerland, Belguim, Gibralter, Romania, Moldova, Ukraine, Libya, Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, Egypt, Albania, Greece, Hungary, Bosnia, SLovenia, Croatia Bulgaria TURkey, Syria Lebanon, Iraq Jordan and a few others.... By your logic we should just reintate that situation because it was that way a long long time ago, lasted many years, and, who are we or anyone else to disagree??? Right? Any country is free if they want to be free and have the means to become and stay free... Taiwan currently is and will be until they either change their minds, or China or other country forces them to do otherwise.

  8.  @John-us9rm  You are right about one thing... If china attacks Taiwan, Usa will not be fighting a proxy war. Fortunately for China, they are a little smarter than that, and despite wanting Taiwan so bad they can taste it, they do nothing but posture. Where is the take over? Two things are stopping them, fear and common sense. USA said they will get involved. They will not play around like Ukraine, where there never was an intent to get involved, just supplying some weapons. China would feel the full might of the United State military. China doesnt want any of that....Sink USA ships and China will be sunk by the number one world power.

  9.  @John-us9rm  lost neither... Only on paper due to not meeting the complex ultimate objectives. Political nonsense prevented it. Check the casualty stats . For example vietnam 56000 US deaths. 1.1 million vietnamese... Yeah... Sounds like a solid loss. Those countries really showed us! ha ha ha. China also doesnt need to worry about fighting the 1960's US military against their current one. Although they would possibly still lose that war also. As for saying number one military, thats a fact, pretty much accepted universally. More is spent on military BY ALOT than anyone else in the world and it shows. Usa also has backing of Nato, as well as non nato allies in the region. To think China could survive a full scale onslaught by the us is misguided to say the least. All military experts say China would lose such a war. Even simulated war games show China as not even being able to take Taiwan to begin with.

  11. China has no say in the matter. Taiwan says they are free. Enough of their allies say they are free that China really doesnt matter. Saying it doesnt make it so. They have to force it into being, or shut their mouth.
