The first rule is not difficult for people of normal insight and intelligence, and the fifth is easy for me (you can only envy the people you don't know, and the fact that anyone does well is proof it can be done). Two, three, and four -- wow have I had problems with those, and I am highly disciplined.

  2. Do you have something about you that's different, and that people might think of as a talent, or skill, or just great luck? Something considered good that is viewed as being lucky and "unearned?" Social media has trained resentment into people, and jealousy like I've never seen. These are the times we live in -- but there is nothing new under the sun. Times like these have happened before. See it clearly but never use it as a crutch. It's not an excuse, it's the opposite: it's a call to do more. YOU have to have more insight, be more private, tend your own garden, find better people, . . . That's harder than just finding a job and doing it, or taking a class and following the teacher's instructions. 🙁
