  1. Not useful for those who overthink and tend to blame themselves for things they cannot be held responsible for. Some kids were raised too harshly to benefit from this. Also, sometimes it IS one person: a complete stranger harasses you, a drunk driver forces you off the road. YOU had a right to be there.

  2. Okay, but I get the feeling that person was envious in that moment. He may even like you and usually be rooting for you, and have good suggestions. In that moment, he was envious. How can that be, if he is indeed the stronger artist? Easily. There is charm -- and power -- in being the one who is the relative novice, who is learning, and learning quickly, who is closer to beginner's mind. You're welcome. 😊
