LOL, that was great.

@gailhall6283 Who said it was all right? 18 U.S. Code § 798 - Disclosure of classified information governs what you are talking about. Treason falls under an entirely different section of Title 18, with different criteria. Or, we could go full Alice in Wonderland: "words mean exactly what I want them to mean."

He can be, through a court process, affording him full constitutional rights. Impeachment would have worked, but he was never convicted.

@mariesmith8454 Not based on mere popular opinion about what "insurrection" means. I have a crazy idea: run a good candidate against him. Stuff like that used to work.
1
@mariesmith8454 Anyone who should be charged and convicted SHOULD be charged and convicted. I have no problem with that.

@mariesmith8454 Due Process is, however, a constitutional right. That's what we're talking about. You cannot deprive anyone of running for office and taking office if he wins, without affording him due process. There is one clear way to stop Trump: Beat him. You know what? After the Dems, to the shock of everyone, lost in November 2016, they could have vowed to reorganize and develop a candidate who would decisively beat Trump. They have had seven years. If they think Trump is so dangerous, why are they running a corrupt, senile old man against him? I think Trump has been an unmitigated disaster. The Dems don't seem to agree. Neither do the Republicans. Now why would that be? (Follow the money?) Don't get hung up on what people say. Watch what they do.

@mariesmith8454 People like you scare me. You think trading barbs and likes on Facebook is more important than the Bill of Rights. You really do. And you're sure you're enlightened.

@mariesmith8454 I've never subscribed to any such thing. I came here during the 2020 shutdown, and couldn't save videos without an account. This is a wasteland all right. Blocked.
1
@mariesmith8454 Yes I do.

@mariesmith8454 Who do you think gets to decide whether Section 3 of the Fourteen Amendment applies to bar a person from office, and how is that determination made?
1
@mariesmith8454 Oh . . . So CONGRESS has to do it. Has Congress gotten around to making that determination?
1
@mariesmith8454 You know this will be before the US Supreme Court, correct? Unless Colorado, Maine, and others moot the cases by staying their decisions and allowing him to appear on the ballot despite their serious misgivings. They may do exactly that. Then you have to wonder about the reason for the exercise in the first place. Isn't it seem like a good idea to beat him at the ballot box instead? One would think.

@mariesmith8454 You edited out Congress!! 🤣🤣🤣 That paste and cut didn't prove what you wanted it to prove, huh? 🤡🌎 This seems to mean a lot to you, but I don't care, frankly. Every president has harmed our family, including one who bombed where my family is from with depleted uranium. Toodles, I'm turning off notifications.

Are you kidding? Do you seriously believe that?

18 US Code Section 2381. See what it says.

@gailhall6283 Not usually, no.

@gailhall6283 There is no reason to call anyone names. I was just answering a question.
1
A belligerent question, actually.
