  1. To me, this is the sign that ME is a serious issue. After a viral illness, it's very common to feel tired for a period of time. But if you don't have post-exertional malaise, you will gradually feel progressively more energetic, not less. You'll take a walk, and at first feel sleepy afterward. But if you keep it up, after a walk and a rest, you'll want to take another walk. People who have ME do NOT get that energy. That is not good.
