@Photovintageguy Certainly I knew the laptop was very likely real, and the censorship of the story was an outrage. Certainly I saw through Russiagate. (Come on. That one was easy.) Glenn Greenwald, Max B, Aaron M, M Taibbi, Abby Martin, etc., fan in the house. I judge a person's credibility based on fair excerpts of their own words. You can't trust the reporting on anyone outside the clique.

@Midwit_Madness I suggest you research how much a campaign costs and where the money comes from --- and what happens when, by some chance, someone squeezes through. What happens when they face reelection, or a recall? Do that. Check numbers. It's one of the few things we can still do. (I think?)

@Midwit_Madness If you want to go for it, do it. Be sure to get some consulting first, to make sure you and your family cannot be easily targetted and harmed by bad actors. Just to take basic precautions, so that it doesn't harm your finances, etc.

He has taken some dubious positions, and then defended them not with solid argument but by demagoguery. I know he must know the difference; Harvard Law teaches that.

@measl The whole point of this video was that someone known to be wrong often is one of the few people to stand up for what is clearly right, and NOBODY has any excuse not to see it if MTG has complete clarity on the issue. It shows up the DNC for the lying, hypocritical, nefarious bunch that they are. I wonder if AOC ever says something she believes to be true. Or does she always calculate for gain? Or is that a stupid question?

@measl I agree with Dore's general point, often also made by Glenn Greenwald, that DNC hypocrisy is generally worse, and doing more harm to ordinary people, than most of what their favorite targets are saying and doing. The upshot is that when someone like Trump does something very wrong, there is no one credible left to oppose him.

@Photovintageguy Well, journalists who exposed Steele won awards. At least one person who supported the Steele dossier (by offering "intelligence" to Steele, in the case I know of) has been charged with lying to the FBI. I stopped following the story, frankly. Of course the dossier was manufactured. There is a ton of evidence of that, to satisfy anyone. I turned the page on it.
