Look up the PBS report on the vaccination program in Belgrade, Serbia, heavily subsidized by the Chinese government. At PBS, they were dwelling on the political implications rather than public health. "The Chinese are making headway." This channel is censored, I'm afraid a link will be removed! The total lack of international cooperation by the US shows that this is not about public health.

@jasonj4865 I just found some research from the UK: Some data suggesting smokers are considerably less likely to contract COVID, but more likely to become seriously ill or die if they do contract it. Scientists do not know why. They admit they are speculating. They aren't even sure the data will hold up. Early on, data from China made it look like smokers were much more likely to die. Then it turned out that MEN are much more likely to die from COVID than women, especially in middle age, where there aren't many deaths to begin with, and it just so happens that in China, women are far less likely to smoke. So it has to do with sex, not smoking.

@randydoak6638 Please see my post. There was at least one study where it appeared that smokers are less likely to contract COVID but more likely to die from it if they do. Reported in a British publication . . . I tend to say away from purely American research now. JAMA, NEJM, NIH are fine as long as the RESEARCHERS are international, and have no conflicts of interest. Yes it has come to that.

@jaxel45 This is a medication used to prevent acidosis. It is not a heart attack medication. That viral video lied. Do you see why these stupid viral videos do not help matters? Ask WHY we need to prevent acidosis in those taking vaccines. Same issue with the lie that there was "no animal testing." Instead ask if the tested animals completed a normal life cycle and had normal pups. With mice, it has been long enough to know. These rumors could be false flags. Don't repeat them.

@easternundergroundsounds6977 Not available in the US, not evident it is necessary for children. Look up the Norwegian ministry of health recommendation. They do not recommend any COVID vaccine for children under 16, or administer it at all under age 12. Also, no mandates for anyone.

Boosters at 6 months, evidence of waning immunity after 3 months, and after TWO doses, the second of which causes significant reactions in most people? Something is wrong with this picture.

The latter may be due to the fact that statistically, smokers are more likely to be male and to have comorbidities. Being male and having comorbidities are risk factors for serious COVID. So . . . It's complicated.
