@johnstrawb3521 That's why some parents buy a Mercedes SUV. Personally, I would never. Do I shame or ridicule the parents who do? No. I don't think they're wise, but I understand why they do what they do.

@andreadamon2197 Of course not. I thought that was obvious. It doesn't appear they presented all of their evidence. It's possible a doctor informed them that their son had had a rare side effect. Based on what they said, I would assume their son was diagnosed and treated, although he might not have been. The whole story could be made up, for that matter, and the whole discussion is moot.

@lawrenceleske3470 I don't understand combined vaccines for kids that young, either, particularly given that solid research from Denmark, I believe, shows that the measles vaccine alone, given at the right age, has exceptional benefits: the overall immunity to viruses other than measles itself is enhanced in most kids. That's ideal. So, why not administer it that way?
