  1. @J I hope you appreciate how difficult that is, and that most people could not achieve it without others to do it with, including elders to act as very patient teachers. I am the only person I know who has cooked nearly everything I have eaten since mid-2005. Really almost everything. When I propose a 30-day challenge to people, to give it a try, NO ONE will take me up on it. And yet, nearly everyone used to do what you do. It's ultimately inexplicable.

  2. Well, some people have a 10 year old, and didn't do that a second time. They have a big stake in what Hedges is talking about.
