  5. Shutdowns without UBI were massively immoral. The real left, in every country, has been questioning restrictions on freedom of movement. You don't just hand that freedom over, and you don't say questioning shutdowns is verboten. As it turns out, all those who demonstrated against police killings here had it right.

  8. If they want young people to start businesses, have universal health and state universities where annual tuition can be earned with a SUMMER JOB. This is what WE had, before Reaganism and the financialization of the economy. With all the Good Silicon Valley has done for us (sarcasm alert), why is higher education so much worse?
