  2. It is VERY hard to figure out causation when an illness has many cofactors. Multivariate analysis is complicated and can take years to complete. If vaccines in combination given to a baby predisposed to some neurological problem are a factor in making the condition worse, it will not be easy to find out. To say we KNOW that it's not happening is not true. DeNero put it well, it is not a simple thing at all.
