@singularitysquaredllc.895 What am I implying? I didn't "imply" anything. Cosby GOT immunity from criminal prosecution in return for his testimony, in other words, in return for waiving his 5th Amendment protections. The published case is lengthy and recounts all the salient facts.

Right. Obviously they knew all along.

MSM (other than Democracy Now!) are generally ignoring the story. Assange's father and brother are here asking for charges to be dropped. AND today is Assange's birthday; he turned 50. It is news.

Now you know who JAILHOUSE SNITCHES usually are. Great job, Jimmy!!! Stef, and Ron! Love you.

He needs to be released. As long as HE does not plead, any way he can be released as soon as possible ought to be tried.

@molonlabe9602 The Cosby evidence came from his own sworn statement in a deposition, where he confessed, after being given immunity from prosecution on that charge. So, he waived his rights under the Fifth Amendment in exchange for immunity. This allowed him to pay money to prevent a prosecution. The case is published. You can read it, instead of repeating talking points.

@singularitysquaredllc.895 Read the opinion. It's online.
1
@singularitysquaredllc.895 You said all the evidence was from a bunch of stories from years ago. The court never reached that evidence at all. It found that the prosecution itself was in violation of Cosby's agreement.
1
@singularitysquaredllc.895 Wait. YOU are calling someone else ignorant?
1
@DixonsCider I go by the published case.
1
@singularitysquaredllc.895 That has nothing to do with this case. This case was tried. Okay, you all, just admit you can't find the actual opinion, which just issued by the appellate court, or you don't want to read it, or can't understand it, or don't like to read but like to pretend you know stuff. Whatever.
1
@singularitysquaredllc.895 Exactly! Those who actually do read and do know are irrelevant! "Soft skills! Soft skills!"

@singularitysquaredllc.895 Direct quote from Castor: "'Once I decided that there wasn't enough evidence that I thought the case could produce a conviction beyond a reasonable doubt, I had two choices,' Castor said. 'I could do nothing and hope it got better... or I could set the pieces up so that civil lawyers who knew what they were doing would know how to achieve a victory in civil court that would punish Cosby.' The statement that he would not pursue criminal charges, he said, was designed to prevent Cosby from invoking the Fifth Amendment and refusing to answer questions in civil court." (Posts with links are are harder to monitor, hence usually shadowed.) This is very clear, and not unusual. Rape is not usually prosecuted absent dramatic and visible signs of struggle and injury. Is this news to you? I don't understand your problem.

@singularitysquaredllc.895 I said the opposite. OH WELL.
1
@singularitysquaredllc.895 Since when are Fifth Amendment rights a technicality? Not to me.
