@catherineshaw1122 Hence he brings on Aaron. Jimmy's political instincts usually surprise me by how good they are, and I know he does not have the formal training. When he messes up, though, it is bad, LOL.

Aaron is exceptional. I love Max, I mean I LOVE love him, but . . . He has biases. Aaron is on a different level. Max is tougher, and funnier, Aaron is more sensitive and takes care to consider everyone's viewpoint.

@beni4366 Please continue, we have a dearth of name calling in The Market. Your voice is needed now. /s
5
@catherineshaw1122 Nope. He's South Side.
2
Then see Glenn Greenwald's take, and see whether it still seems that way.
2
The Market needs more name calling. This does not begin to fill the current demand.
1
See Lev Golinkin in The Nation, circa 2019. That has the advantage of having been written before the pandemic. If you think Ukraine having a Jewish president who is a former entertainer makes it "impossible" for neo-Nazis to have been given free rein in the eastern breakaway regions, then you have a lot of reading and studying to do. When it comes to making serious decisions for your own life, don't make them like this.
1
The demand to stop NATO expansion is reasonable. And Aaron is no mouthpiece for Putin! Pfft.
1
PERFECTLY put! No good guys in this picture. No Vasili Akhipov to be found.
1
Have you ever lived anywhere else? It's the most right-wing modern, developed country in the world.
1
No one's defending it. An invasion during a pandemic is a new kind of hideous. The responsibility for it is not solely with Moscow, however. Maybe consider what the other BRICs have said, it's eye-opening -- not that I agree. It's just good to be aware of how widespread alternative views are. Then you won't reflexively think "Putin apologist."
1
For anyone who doubts the extent of neo-Nazi actions in the eastern breakaway regions, see Lev Golinkin in The Nation, circa 2019. That has the added advantage of having been written before the pandemic.
1
The existence of neo-Nazis in the rebel provinces is well documented. No one is trying to deny that. Whether they have meaningful influence in the rest of Ukraine is questionable, but free rein in the rebel regions, yes. This isn't news. Sorry if you're not up to date.
1
@rankoorovic7904 Not known that they have tentacles in that deep, and I tend to doubt that. But what Aaron says about what neo-Nazis did in the eastern provinces is accurate. The US often has monsters offshore, and wants them there. Ukraine may like to keep them in the east. Similar pattern.
1
Do we know this?
1
Glenn Greenwald's brilliant take pointed this out. It may hearten you to hear it. It's up on his YouTube channel.
1
On neo-Nazis in eastern Ukraine, see Lev Golinkin in The Nation, circa 2019. That has the advantage of having been written before the pandemic. Articles written before 2020 are usually better sources, for obvious reasons. Stephen F. Cohen, ditto.
1
Some of its banks have. Don't be so sure this wasn't what Russia wanted. It is a stress test of sorts. China is backing them all the way. First salvo in the fight to end dollar hegemony as the global reserve currency. Double-digit inflation, here we come.
1
VENEZUELA has a freer press. It has opposition channels on the air. 25:18 Ponder that. Boggles.
1
I agree with Aaron. Of course it did have options. That does not take away from the US game of chicken, which it always plays.
1
I'm frankly sorry to see how good Carlson has been. I won't hide my dislike of Tucker. Very disappointing that a person can trust him on this particular story more than any other major media. But Tucker did rely on a NYTimes story for the scoop on China's role. At least he got people to notice it. Everyone should read that. Harrowing!

See Lev Golinkin in The Nation, circa 2019. That has the advantage of being before the pandemic.
1
@artistpres Okay. Then don't read Golinkin in The Nation, which carefully documents what Aaron is asserting about neo-Nazis here. Instead, read The Secret. Or, I know! An airlift! Drop copies of The Secret on Ukraine.
1
@catherineshaw1122 Funny. I heard the same thing.
1
Thanks for making your racism clear. It's so crazy I have to think false flag.
1
@KlipsenTube False flag. Got it.

@KlipsenTube blocked

@beni4366 Your arguments mirror those of The Best in MSM. /s
1
Yes, history, like Lev Golinkin in The Nation, circa 2019. Good starting point. Stephen F. Cohen, always.
1
See Lev Golinkin in The Nation, circa 2019. That has the advantage of having been written before the pandemic. If you think Ukraine having a Jewish president who is a former entertainer makes it "impossible" for neo-Nazis to have been given free rein in the eastern breakaway regions, then I really don't know what to say. Do you fall for IdPol here, too?
1
Not exactly a new pattern. The Reagan administration supported Osama bin Laden when we thought it was in our interest.
1
No one said that. The world is not so neat.
1
Jeane Kirkpatrick made a career out of elevating "worthy" victims and treating "unworthy" victims as though they were beneath vermin. It worked too well, it's with us today.
1
The Market needs more name calling. Please don't stop so soon.
1
See Lev Golinkin in The Nation, circa 2019. That has the advantage of having been written before the pandemic. The neo-Nazis given free rein in eastern Ukraine were murdering people. They weren't some false flag.
1
Look at some articles from 4 or 5 years ago. That's usually the best thing to do. Should be obvious WHY.
1
See Lev Golinkin in The Nation, circa 2019. That's even before the pandemic.
