What you need to know: India asked for one of two things -- either LIFT the patents (it's an emergency, after all), or DO A CLINICAL STUDY in India (who consider their population, for sound reasons, to be relatively genetically unusual). Pfizer refused. Enough reason to ask questions about a novel drug for a novel virus.
