  1.  William Webber  Wait, do you imagine the Red Army "needed" America to enter WWII? What do you think the timeline of WWII was?? You do believe in dates, right? Like, June 1941 came before June 1944? Dates are not a conspiracy.

Why is EVERY right winger that way? You really think you deserve more rights than other people do, and you see things that are not there. Very odd. But you can make money that way, simply a fact.   4.  William Webber  I guess some people just don't accept the notion that "success" can mean something other than accumulating money. It can have other definitions. Thus for me, no one was ever more successful than the man who stood up to two other people and prevented nuclear war, all while believing they would soon be dead. That was the original point -- "success" does have more than one definition. I don't know Hedges personally, much less do I "see into his soul." If writing things he knows about and things he actually believes in brings him book royalties, I don't see the purported "hypocrisy." I know he teaches in prisons for for very little money or possibly none. I know Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash played hundreds of prison shows for free. But if you just want to count money, no problem. You have more company, no doubt.

  5.  William Webber  Depends on what you mean by "success." If the term includes defeating Hitler's Wehrmacht, and bringing a definitive end to Western imperialism, then we should acknowledge the Soviet Union and Viet Nam. Or, who did you think did it?
