  2. Well, do we know they told the truth about their numbers? More to the point, is it TOO LATE for countries with endemic COVID to try this method? If we had Japan's per capita rate of death from COVID, there would be 50,000 lives lost, not 800,000, and Japan had a surge during the Olympics. China is about to host the next Olympics. What has Japan been doing? And first of all, are all the numbers accurate, and counted the same way? Looks like (1) we don't share information and ideas; (2) we don't have the spirit of free inquiry needed to make real progress.

  5. It's entirely correct that pushing people to shut up and obey where their health is concerned is fundamentally unscientific and undemocratic. There is zero virtue in pushing unquestioning obedience. There is something very wrong with this picture.

  8. Something ugly is emerging here: kids who develop myocarditis are being treated like they are inferior, Social Darwinian-style. So is anyone who has been seriously sickened by the vaccine. It is EASY to marginalize these people because they are a small number. So they don't count, and can be silenced and despised.

  10. What are the significant risks from the vaccines? How do these rates compare with the risks of other, commonly-used vaccines that we all have taken? In countries that have comprehensive social safety nets, including universal health and universal disability -- and universal post-secondary education -- it makes sense to do what you advocate. How does it make sense where a vaccine injury could bankrupt you or have you end up in the street? It is evident we are on our own. I agree with your subtext -- if no other countries used these vaccines, no way would I consider them, based only on CDC, FDA, etc., recommendations. BTW, in France the CGT organized a demonstration of vaccinated health care workers in support of their unvaccinated colleagues and against mandates. All the comments below the video praised them for their humanity. CGT is communist-allied. Maybe listen to this whole video again.

  12. The truth is, it's very hard to think. You can do it, of course, but it is not easy. No one is entirely immune from emotional appeals and manipulation. Most people not trained in Venn disagrams and statistical reasoning will get the following wrong: "What's the greater risk -- being injured in a natural disaster in California, or being injured in an earthquake in California?" Also, if you're pushed to answer really fast, because "the faster, the better," the chance that you'll get the answer wrong goes up as well. Once people pick an answer, they fight for it. You'll see people argue about settled mathematics all the time. How weird is that?

  15. Why do you imagine Max or Jimmy cannot read a peer-reviewed journal article, or the website of another country's ministry of health? Research is not Facebook. Google Scholar leads to solid information. In any event, Jimmy followed his doctor's advice to be vaccinated and became chronically ill for several months after his second shot. You expect him to say and do nothing about his health, or to bully the unvaccinated -- if he got sick from vaccination, let them risk it, too? If he hated on the unvaxxed, would you criticize him, or no? Where has he cited a dubious source?

  18. Re: Research. No doctor has been able to tell me how many people have been seriously harmed from each vaccine, what we know about preventing these reactions, AND how these significant risks compare to the risks of other vaccines we take, such as the flu shot. NO doctor.
