They just dropped a new video, have got to watch. I like Aude Lancelin, another great journalist who got kicked out of a prestigious mainstream media job. Seriously, listen an hour a day, put it in the background. (Paradis is a translation of my real name, which really does mean paradise. If I were British, maybe I'd go by Eden? Hmm . . . Cela ne me dit rien.)

  2. There is evidence for that. It does not mean there is no other means of reducing the risk of severe COVID. Vaccination is one way, to reduce the risk of severe COVID. Not prevent. Reduce risk.

  3.  @o77eh  Yes there has been ample evidence, of substantial, short-term (6 to 9 months) protection from severe or life-threatening COVID. I do not own a television, but I do read medical journals. But have it your way. I oppose mandates. Therefore, you go make your health decisions on whatever discourse you find persusive. It is your right to decide.

  5. Why is the vaccine mandatory? The vaccine isn't mandatory in most of the world, starting with Scandinavia. Is this disease highly lethal? Does vaccination stop infection? Does vaccination stop transmission? Since the answer to all three questions is now known to be clearly "no," why is there a mandate? A bigger question: how did they persuade you to support this? It never occurred to me to mandate any medical treatment, of any kind, including vaccines.

  6. EDIT: Only a handful of countries in the entire world mandate universal vaccination. Austria is the only country in Europe which does. Why? How did they persuade you that it's the fascists who oppose mandates? In France, the hard left opposes them. The CGT organized a demonstration of vaccinated health care workers in support of their unvaccinated colleagues and against mandates and passports. PCF, LFI, CGT all spoke out against mandates months ago.

  8. I found the Gallop poll which showed that everyone greatly overestimates the risk of hospitalization for COVID. It contained that statistic. But for unvaccinated people, the risk is strongly linked to age, somewhat to sex, and very much to comorbidities. So the overall number of less than 0.9% is kind of misleading because you can't assess YOUR risk on that basis. If you're a healthy, slim 30 year old woman, it could be less. If you're 55 and overweight, with low vitamin D levels, well . . .

  10. If the US had the same death rate from COVID as Japan has, we would have fewer than 50,000 total deaths. Okay, WHY? What happened here? What are they doing in Japan?
