The more socialized an economy, the harder it is to pay for both butter and aggressive war -- while capitalists must fight wars of aggression in order to expand. As for Trump, something similar at work: he wants to build luxury apartments and hotels in Russia. Single-minded. What serves that end = good. What doesn't = "bad, very bad."

  12. It was obvious before WWII started that the hope of the US was for Hitler to destroy the USSR. Truman said it out loud. After the war, the Rat Line confirms what side the US was really on. No one has ever defeated a peoples' army defending against an invasion of its own territory.
