@yanniritsarntyios5744 Dore's point was the study he presented knocks out the main justification of MANDATES. Mandates are not a scientific issue but a political one. Whoever supports mandates has the burden of proving they are necessary and effective.

@kingdong7517 Joe Rogan did not get vaccinated. I don't know about Russell Brand. In France, the CGT organized a demonstration of vaccinated health care workers in support of their unvaccinated colleagues and against mandates. Mandates are an issue everywhere. The Scandinavian countries have no mandates.

@yanniritsarntyios5744 According to Dore and others, the NIH has been funding research in the Wuhan Lab that it should not have been, and Fauci obfuscated it. No one has established where the virus that causes COVID originated. An accident involving research at that lab, possibly something as simple as virus collection and preparation, is very possible.

Actually, that is not true, either. Vaccinated people have "died of COVID" using the same definition as they do when they state that unvaccinated people died of COVID. Thus, for example, Colin Powell died of COVID. Now that is misleading. But then so is the death toll of the unvaccinated with grave comorbidities.

@jimywealth4628 You THINK I reiterated your point? I have no idea who the people were who died in Massachusetts alone, by mid-summer, or what their state of health was at the time. All we know is that they were fully vaccinated and were determined by the state public health department to have been COVID mortalities. You said ZERO such people died. This is misinformation. Anyone who corrects THIS misinformation will be treated to direct or veiled ad hominem.

@yanniritsarntyios5744 Naturally acquired immunity to SARS via infection and recovery seems to be quite stable. COVID is pretty new, we don't know the long-term effects of anything, including COVID infection. With some viruses, immunity after a first infection is strong, but if a second infection ever manages to get a foothold, it is worse.

@danielsan2570 I admit I did not follow the aftermath. Did he ever actually apologize, or would that undermine his defense against their lawsuit? I don't condemn him as a person, or wish him ill, but he is finished as a news source. What's to say he won't become paranoid again, and attack someone again? This was our worst school massacre. Look, I never forgave ABC for giving the mastermind of the Beslan school massacre a platform. (He was an avowed terrorist. See the BBC on that.) I don't hold Jones to a different standard. WE treat the vulnerable with contempt. Jones did that, and now wants sympathy. Personally, no problem. He's entitled to it. Professionally? No. Same thing where Jordan Peterson is concerned. Why do people fall for it?

@ricksimon9867 There are dozens of countries across Europe that HAVEN'T implemented the same policies as the US. If I post about, I risk censorship. I suggest you look up the ministries of health of Switzerland, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Iceland, etc., and in addition see what India is doing, for example. If you do some real research, you may be very surprised. As for what France, Italy, etc., are doing, well, they are provoking mass demonstrations with their policies. The European left is resoundingly anti-mandate and anti-passport. No exceptions.

@ricksimon9867 WESTERN EUROPE has comprehensive health care, a longer life expectancy, less obesity, and less substance abuse, not to mention less of a gulf between rich and poor. You think their lower death rate "must be" from a still-unproven vaccine that appears not to last a year to stem infection and spread?

Funny, I never heard of anyone getting a breakthrough case of mumps or measles or polio, unless they were significantly immunocompromised. Posted a quote, NBC news affiliate, one sentence long, with quotation marks, stating that over 100 fully vaccinated people had died of breakthrough COVID as of July 31 in Massachusetts alone. Seems to be missing now.

@danielsan2570 Where did I say Jones was evil? But he did do one very evil thing. Sympathy is one thing, credence on matters of public policy, another. I said I didn't condemn him as a person or wish him ill. I hold Jones to the same standard as I do ABC News and its platforming of the mastermind of the Beslan school seige. You just don't do that. After Peterson's recent issue with medication, he is the last person to scold anyone else about sorting themselves out before having a right to say anything about societies and how they are organized.

@ricksimon9867 We had worse numbers than Europe long before vaccines were available, and we had a faster vaccine rollout than most places, including much of Europe and, notably, Japan, once they were approved. Sorry, you are hysterical. That never worked in any emergency, of any sort. Literally never. I'm cool in emergencies. (I never need painkillers, somehow, either.) It's my superpower.
