  2. "Human rights" is the new White Man's Burden. It has worked so well as an excuse for war, beyond expectations, and it may not be easy to find a substitute story that serves as well. Hence the war mongers will do anything to defend it.

  3.  @Camcolito  Let's agree you're right. There's no reason to dispute it. So, why lie about China at all? It's like lying about Trump. There is no need. The truth is horrifying enough. What is the purpose of using a dubious source that leads to discrediting the whole story?   4.  @Camcolito  Makes perfect sense. I think that they have pointed out that the Chinese government cannot be trusted, either, though a person has to listen closely for that message. It was de-emphasized for sure.

  8.  @Jane_under_a_tree_with_a_book  I think some will end up voting Biden, most will vote Green, some will abstain, and a few will vote for Trump. Most listeners of independent media will come out like that. Green is gaining ground in Europe, wherever people are sick to tears of conventional partisan political hacks. It's not just here that people are flummoxed by the choices, you can be sure of that.
