The Jimmy Dore Show

@thejquinn They were constantly after Dore, to the point of being bizarre. When Dore appeared on the show in 2016, he was much more courteous to Seder than Seder was to him -- and Dore was the guest. Dore admitted there are things he doesn't know. Seder was personally condescending instead of attacking Dore's points. Seder is basically a decent guy, which makes it worse when he targets you. The criticisms were ad hominem, not based on refuting Dore's ideas. I wouldn't go back to his show, either. You would? Why?

Sam Seder is still obsessed with Jimmy? Someone explain this to me.

@thejquinn Brooks went off on him really badly, not just calling him one name. He turned a discussion on policy into a very personal matter. I think an encomium from Jimmy would have been awkward.

Trying to imagine. Nope, sorry. Can't.

@jman75234 Some DNC deserve to be sh*t on. They are so bad they needed TRUMP as a foil, to cling to power. They only look great next to Trump. Open your eyes. As for TYT, they are rapidly annoying people. Missed that as well? Yeesh.

@jman75234 Yes, it is embarrassing how Jimmy Dore thought the DNC would go to work against Trump, rather than pushing Russiagate for nearly four years. If there had been no pandemic, would Joe Biden have won? Where was the landslide we were promised? Who still controls the Senate? After everything the Republicans did, to hurt people -- during a pandemic? That "Moscow Mitch" label sure took care of that! /s

@jman75234 Well then, let's blame Jimmy. P. S. Susan Sarandon is to blame for Donald Trump.

@jman75234 I do. I blame the DNC for not working to stop Trump's policies. I blame them for wasting time on Russiagate, and focusing on impeachment alone to bring him down. Every time the Democrats, led by Nancy Pelosi, passed a spending bill giving Trump exactly what he wanted, Jimmy Dore put it on his show. GOOD. You call him an "idiot?" He's not the idiot in this picture!

@Calm Hiatus The problem is, they made it personal.

@britsareweak I don't agree that he's unwatchable. He recently did a show with Glenn Greenwald that was superb, he recently compiled a series of documents on Biden showing exactly why we need to beware, and so forth. He does a lot of stuff that no one else does. If you want to expand the very justified critique to a cancel, go ahead, be my guest, and tootles. I won't be joining you.

No UBI during this pandemic is THE most immoral thing ever done. Not only that people could not work: they could not circulate freely, they could not have a funeral, they could not see loved ones in the hospital, they could not freely look for work, they had to close their own businesses and many lost those businesses. People have been evicted already. People crossing state lines in many places are supposed to quarantine for two weeks. Essential workers have been overwhelmed, with no extra hazard pay. Their pay is not enough. Parents of children going to school remotely need to upgrade their technology. Did everyone else know our government was this dastardly?

@somebody700 Nearly everyone but the truly destitute buy supplemental insurance coverage with Medicare. No one is forced to sign up for Medicare, but if they wait beyond their equal consideration eligibility window, they must pay more for it.

Who is surprised that someone who runs hotels and resorts would support Medicare for All? A lot of people who employ unionized low-wage workers want out from under providing any benefits, ever. So I believe Trump is for M4A, sure. $$

@britsareweak I can't disagree. He was angry about the fact that Bernie rolled over, and demanded nothing from DNC types, and Jimmy's anger was justified, BUT he did not express it correctly and should apologize to two very nice people who have been very tolerant. Also, they both appreciate that they don't know a lot of working class people, working class for real, and were always open to hear Jimmy's views -- no weird tone, never patronizing him or Stef. All true. :/

@britsareweak Did I say you said I had to? We each just expressed our views, no? ;)
