Comments by "L.W. Paradis" (@l.w.paradis2108) on "Why Vaccine Mandates Are A Bad Idea" video.
The vaccines (immunotherapy, actually) do reduce the risk of severe COVID and hospitalization or death for those at higher risk, and do so quite reliably, for only about 6 to 9 months. The cost-benefit analysis is the next question.

Based on the latest research, he is giving solid information and is rejecting mandates that have no evidentiary basis whatsoever.

Look up Switzerland's health ministry advice. It doesn't sound like ours. That's all I'll say.
3
WHO has the burden of proof? The proponent of the medical intervention does, always. We do not have sufficient information concerning the safety and efficacy of the vaccine. We treat gang bangers, obese people, heavy smokers, alcoholics, drunk drivers, high drivers, opioid addicts, school shooters, terrorists. We treated the Boston Marathon bomber Tsarnaev. But you want to exclude the unvaccinated from care. Who made you like this? What else can they convince you of? Probably just about anything.

Tsk. Mandates, not MAN dates. Sheesh.
2
Never let politicians influence your decisions about your health, either way. Really. Peace & love. :)
2
By threatening people's livelihoods?

I hope everyone supports you in your CHOICE.

@Slowbro01323 The loved one is more than welcome to get vaccinated. I support masks.
1
BTW, the statistic is wrong.
1
@Slowbro01323 It is not consistent with ANY other country's data. Hence it is wrong. A pandemic is a global phenomenon, we need to share information with an open mind and no agenda. But let's suppose the statistic IS correct. Then your VACCINATED loved ones are in no danger from the unvaccinated.

I've been keeping up with actual studies, which are available everywhere now, and doctors on YouTube who carefully review a major study (such as one published in NEJM), and provide a link. I've also listened to proponents of vaccination who are not authoritarian, such as Dr. Racaniello on Lex Fridman, and dispassionate commentators like Kim Iversen. Jimmy's video was very easy to follow, and I recognize the information as being based on what we have an evidentiary basis to believe at present.

Risk reduction is not risk elimination, even for the worst outcomes. Protection seems to wane quickly in some people.
1
The worst part is, MSM has you convinced you're smart. Really, anything is possible. Any story can be sold. Don't be surprised at the Q-anon crowd. Look in the mirror.
1
27:47 This is the guest's position. The vaccines have significant risks, and protection against severe COVID wanes quickly -- apparently in under a year. Did we watch the same show?
1
@mikemorrison270 Wrong thread.
1
Tell the truth: are you sorry you did?
1
I quoted a Guardian article on teens and side effects. It was censored.
1
Try 27:47 to the end. Or better yet, the entire program. But 27:47 to the end is two minutes.
1
@ala fringe That is a common alternative around the world. Check out the Swiss ministry of health. Check out the studies, with links, Dr. Moran (Medicine With Dr. Moran podcast) presents.
1
27:47 to the end (a couple of minutes) is great
1
27:47 to end. No good doctor will tell you NOT to be vaccinated. He will present your options to you, to help you make your own decision.
1
Guessing right is nothing to be proud of. The information given here is evidence-based.
1
You failed to finish the quote.
1
"The typical titer for someone who is vaccinated is 1:2,000," Landau told MedPage Today. "You can take that down to 1:500 and it will still kill the virus. ... Natural infection titers tend to be 1:200, on average, and that's still protective."
1
Citations? You know this, for a novel coronavirus? Tiny droplets from the nose and mouth cannot contain virus particles in an asymptomatic person?
1
27:47 Where does this doctor tell you not to be vaccinated? Are mandates persuasive or coercive?
1
@mugetsuu23 Yes, everyone should listen to you. Good plan.
1
@mugetsuu23 I don't have people around me. My family in America died out. I plan to emigrate. But thanks for your insensitivity, and gaslighting.
1
@mugetsuu23 More to the point, this doctor does NOT tell anyone not to be vaccinated. He's simply being a DOCTOR, not a political agent. That is a reason TO trust, not mistrust. Too bad you don't get that. As for you, did you ever think you might be mistaken for a false flag? IOW, people's reaction to your mode of pushing guilt is to reject the message, when your opinion should have ZERO influence on people's medical decisions either way.
1
27:47 start there
1
@shanecarlson1057 The evidence is that the vaccine is effective for preventing hospitalization or death, for a period of time. If I say what I really think, I get censored.
1
@shanecarlson1057 Apparently, I can't say that tyme is sh ort.
