It detracts from his own good points, too, such as they are.

Great question. Where is the sense of justice?? The reason private corporations in the US removed alleged harassers from their jobs was because after an internal INVESTIGATION, they determined that the corporation could be held legally liable for not removing a perpetrator once they knew other employees were in fact harassed by that person in the workplace. In other words, the victim would be the one who would ultimately be unable to earn a living in that job unless the corporation took action, and failure to act would not be fair or legal under Title VII. Not one point applies: no investigation, none of these accusers have to work with Russell Brand, none of these accusers are even known, and Russell Brand does not work for YouTube. Literally nothing.

@garyluciani1082 True, but he was attacked for it, and his assertions were treated as one more reason to yank his income from him. But technically, you are correct.

@tam3362 That may be true in general, but that is why justice has got to be case by case. What does it matter what "usually" happens? What matters is what happened in this case to the person involved. Female on male (and female on female) sexual harassment in the workplace has been recognized as a violation of Title VII for decades now. Unfortunately, people find it implausible that men fear women because they are physically stronger. But why should that matter? A woman can destroy a man's livelihood as well.

THIS has NOTHING to do with that. NOTHING. @tam3362 No problem. I just wanted to respond, because people who are justifying this action against Brand are pointing out women's unique vulnerability. All that is true.
