@steveludwig4200 Read the statement from his attorneys. He is suing for false prosecution. The judge in the case is pushing for the prosecutor to be disbarred. Such moves are rare.

@janetspell1396 No he's not. He never went to jail again. He has sued for violation of his rights, his lawyer demanded that he be exonerated of the crime, AND the prosecutor got her law license suspended for multiple lapses. This wasn't the only case she mishandled.

@rebeccacorpas-galisa9900 You're choosing to ignore the DNA evidence that turned up at three other crime scenes around the country, and the fact that this prosecutor had her law license suspended for misconduct in several matters. I'm not worried about psychoanalyzing his daughters. I want them to find this man. I live in one of the cities where his DNA placed him. They have you manipulated not to care about your safety but to go on a warpath against strangers who suffered an unspeakable tragedy.

@yigalordbanette8044 There's another factor here, too. Granted, in the homicide case of a woman, especially one having an affair and contemplating divorce, there is always a spotlight on the husband. I don't deny it's a common pattern. Fine. But there is also another pattern that isn't rare, either: woman and man, or woman and friends have a big fight, woman stalks off, then meets with foul play. This is more common in cases of unmarried women than married women, more common at night than during the day, etc., but it is hardly unknown. People fixate on one possibility, and don't even consider whether media is skewing their view.

@tam6650 If juries could be trusted to be impartial before social media mobs, they can't now. If she gets "likes," that makes her right. Yes. It IS that bad.

The DNA is too strange. If it belonged to ANYONE but an unknown assailant, it would not be significant. But it is there, and has appeared in other unsolved cases. The DA did the right thing to move for dismissal without prejudice.

@wendyingram23 The DNA is in a crime database, linked to three other unsolved cases. They better find that guy, eh? He is a danger to us. Whether he's involved in this case is unknown. Whether her husband killed her is unknown.

@olaakinlade4362 Look, the male DNA found in her car that has also turned up at THREE other crime scenes needs to be explained. I'm not saying it can't be explained. I'm not saying it belongs to the perpetrator. I am saying it needs to be explained. That's what the presumption of innocence and the burden of proof mean. That's simply good police work. There is someone out there whose DNA has been found at a total of four crime scenes, this person has never been identified, and all the concern swirls around the husband? I want whoever that man is to be identified and arrested if the evidence is sufficient to make an arrest. He may be very dangerous. That should be the focus. That isn't psychobabble, that's real. :/

@N2Dressage001 Not what I read. (Did you know the prosecutor had her law license suspended? Did you do that "homework?") I didn't say the person whose DNA was found is the perpetrator. I said he needs to be identified and questioned. As many as three unsolved crimes hang in the balance, if not this one. I don't know what you mean by "match." There has been no identification, and hence, strictly speaking, no "match." I find it odd to go on and on about his daughters' psychology and be unconcerned about this physical evidence. I come from a state where an innocent man sat on death row while the actual murderer killed another victim, a young woman. It's not pretty. I don't know how her parents lived through it. I couldn't have, and I mean that literally.

@N2Dressage001 Have you read the statement by his attorneys in reference to the discovery of the remains? They were found during a search for another missing woman. In fact, there are several missing women law enforcement is trying to find, and all of them are likely to be dead. Have you read that the judge in this case is seeking to have the prosecutor disbarred? I don't understand why people get wound up about this man, and not the bigger picture: women are not safe.

@indridcold2872 Wait. How does someone "know" something without evidence, especially when there is exculpatory DNA in her vehicle? Not just any DNA, but from an unidentified suspect in three other cases. The prosecutor's law license was suspended for multiple ethical lapses. Plural. Did you know that?

@indridcold2872 Perfect example not of proof of innocence but of reasonable doubt. Anyway, Barry sued for violation of his rights, saying his arrest was baseless. He will have to testify in that civil case, unless they drop prosecution and settle. This was just a one-sided show. Every woman should be mad that there is still a predator out there somewhere. That's who is putting us in danger, not this clown.

@Eric-bk9ji Not random --- an unidentified suspect in three other cases. That is bad. Were it random, no problem. But it is in multiple crime databases. Remember about the burden of proof? I hope they find him so that they can close some cases, and see where he was when she disappeared.
