@nicofelie With graduate degrees, they could go to night school to get their foundational science courses done, work in labs and get credit for it, then apply to a PhD program. They do not need a second Bachelor's or Master's in bioengineering first. Universities have the option to admit people like them with "deficiencies" in a few core courses that they can make up during their first year. THANK GOODNESS

@nicofelie You are so welcome! You made my day. Not every university would do this, but really, most would. I would expect this couple to have had a choice of schools. A friend of mine who was a lawyer got into medical school this way as well . . . a ton of night classes, but once she got her minimum science requirements completed, that was it. She needed nothing more. The only thing was, they were unforgiving as to grades. She really did need straight As, which wouldn't usually be the case for an undergrad chemistry major or something. This was about 30 years ago. She got into U of Chicago.

@nicofelie School has enough hoops. Craziness. Miss Grundy takes over college. Etc. LOL
