@marciabradley7660 Purveyors of positivity are hiding extreme viciousness. Who could possibly believe pediatric cancer is a result of "attracting negativity?" Or some sort of personal failure? (Did the mother fail? Did the father?) Were the people who died on 9/11 all on a negative trip? And our troops who died in Afghanistan and Iraq? If only they had read The Secret, they'd all still be around, attracting abundance.

@traceynomatterwhat383 Anyone who would tell a painter or pianist or violinist, etc., to break a board is vicious. Anyone who would tell anyone to do that is vicious, but telling artists and musicians is so obviously vicious that it should unequivocally scream "charlatan!!" to everyone's ears.

@traceynomatterwhat383 It would be a fascinating report. Just started reading Murakami's Underground, just this weekend, about the cult that gassed people on the Tokyo metro in the 1990s. Some very prominent people were involved in the cult. Have to read it in small excerpts. I've known martial artists, and their sensei would never tell them to do anything he was not absolutely sure they were ready for. Really never.

@marciabradley7660 A certain measure of suffering is a vital part of every life. For a child, having a beloved pet die will cause suffering. Having to miss a party because of a bad cold will as well. OTOH, an ordinary day at school shouldn't, a family dinner shouldn't, a family vacation shouldn't, etc. In those cases, it is rarely the kid who needs to change, and let go of "attachments."
