  1.  @HomesteadGirls  Most people are mediocre. They aren't bad or good. There's a lot more good than bad, but there isn't too much of either. The mediocre ones tend to treat might as making right. It's easier than thinking it through, being brave, etc. And the few bad do a lot of bad.

  2. Karrie was treated as though she were a minor. Absent copious evidence of her being mentally ill to the point of lacking her own free will, this was not appropriate. But I'm not surprised by it.

  4. The real question is how the h-ll could Michelle have foreseen any of this? This case is horrific because there is no obvious clue. So, how do you protect yourself? Lots of husbands are abusive. Lots of divorces are bitter.
