  1. Given that Stacey was astoundingly stupid, how did her second husband and daughter not see through her, or at least have doubts about her? To suspect her of being a serial murderer is excessive, but to mistrust her would have been normal. How do people miss the signs? Do they see, but talk themselves out of it?
