  1. The analysis of Rachel was excellent. She may have believed Sam was innocent at first. Had she been married to him, she would never have been required to testify at all. What a trauma to discover the truth! At worst, a suspended sentence and probation was another possibility. Had Rachel gone to a lawyer before telling detectives about the backpack, she might have been able to strike a deal. It's the innocent mind that never thinks to do that.

  2. So hard to listen to. I dread having to say this, but we do need to hear it. We need to be reminded that monsters do exist. We forget.
