@kathymcmc There's a lot of truth in that. We are chided over and over to be "loyal," "optimistic," and give a person a "second chance." Lord, no!!
2
@Ulysses.S.Grant.For.The.Union. Why thank you!
2
@CM-sy3to They are defending the Bill of Rights, which is clearly on its last legs.
2
@romanthomas2748 Agreed.
2
@bobhope4949 You mean you read the whole sentence to get to that part? You give me hope. (See what I did there?)
2
Has this "journalist" done the research Kennedy has done?
2
They rushed the development of the COVID vaccine, and they ENDED the placebo arm right away and gave those people the vaccine. So there will be no long-term scientifically sound clinical trial data on vaccine safety. That possibility was closed, and they closed it. That means Kennedy is correct.
2
I am already shaking my head at Vargas.
2
@island4603 Please quote the part that you read as incestuous.
2
Not at all. He's a good attorney.
2
@tansywelsh1636 Maybe you should reconsider whether that is the best thing for you? Maybe there are better things out there?
2
Depends on whether they are organic and how they are extracted. I think you know which is which.
2
Most places have a Good Samaritan law that protect people who give aid to the best of their ability, even if that doesn't save the person's life or health. In fact, just about every state has such a law.
2
@sdriza EXACTLY. In any case, do not marry this guy.
2
@falconquest2068 What part of she was a crime victim and no one wants to see such a thing happen, EVER, to anyone, is lost here? The suggestion was that a woman cannot leave a psychopath. That isn't always the case. That they fear leaving, and that their fear is well-founded, is undoubtedly true. This case, and the one in Idaho, I will never accept. They are cases that, once you hear about, you will never forget.
2
@danielzielke9997 He's just making the point that in murders of this nature, that is one almost incontrovertible way of identifying the perpetrator. He stated it as a hypothetical. Read it again.
2
Realism.
2
No, it was in FBI possession.
2
@vincevincent6984 Wow, you think someone else has something wrong with them. Blocked. Regular running does not mean a person is in great shape. Many former drug addicts or formerly obese people have had cardiac arrest while running. By the way, your picture . . . wow. (Mine? Da Vinci's house.)
2
@@californiadreaming118 Look how aggressive this guy had to get right away, browbeating you for making a good point and giving dubious suggestions on what a person should do. (BTW, when replying to him, I thought I was replying to different people.)
2
@Stacy- Do you think not approaching police if you have a white Elantra (of the right year) is evidence of guilt?
2
Wow, just wow. Law is all about revenge now. Do you know anything about the Crumbly case? Or about the Bill of Rights, for that matter?
2
Thank you. 💯
2
Why? Lying is illegal. Silence is never illegal.
1
Creative Renewal Social media has been the death of the Bill of Rights. No one who hasn't been subpoenaed to testify in court has to say anything to anybody. On the witness stand, they can invoke the Fifth Amendment. What they can't do is not show up to court, or lie under oath, or misrepresent anything, or be misleading. Those are crimes. Silence isn't.
1
Perfect, thank you. It is wrong to condemn this poor woman, and it is also wrong to normalize not calling 911. Clearly, the roommate did cooperate with the investigation, and we would not know what she had done that night without her providing that information.
1
Here's another thought: we could all be rational, too, and suspend judgment while awaiting more evidence. That could work. smh
1
@Jason_The_Man LOL
1
Isn't it romantic? Now you know why people aren't marrying.
1
@neubianx It was that bad for you? I'm sorry.
1
@Serids-z1c Who cares what OP thinks? Maybe her family ages quickly. My mother was still in her prime at 42, 43. I guess not everyone is?
1
@user-wp3bd8xg3d Some fights are better ignored. Her real reason for posting was to denigrate other women. Maybe that's how she protects what she's got. Or thinks she does. Desperation, maybe?
1
@mothersgauri4137 I have to say that on some level, I acknowledge their discipline. They stood fast on their right to remain silent -- even their attorney couldn't do it. And they remained silent even under the most extreme vilification and the threats they were subjected to by people camped out in front of their house. Not everybody can do that. BRIAN should have led the authorities to her remains. That was up to him, not mumsy.
1
@Dojustdoandbe That's also possible. I am always gratified when people think of more than one possibility!
1
@irene_f. Arrested for what crime, precisely?
1
@irene_f. The general rule is that you are not required to report a crime. There are exceptions, of course. That's why they made laws to mandate reporting when children are victims. Without those laws, you wouldn't have mandated reporting.
1
Yes
1
I decided in 2019 to emigrate, then, well, COVID. I wonder, how did I know? One American hysteria too many. Or maybe ten too many by now.
1
@leaf16nut Nor do we know whether those were her exact words. A probable cause affidavit is technically hearsay, and the police take down material facts, not exact quotations unless they are material to securing the arrest and no bail for the suspect. That is their goal.
1
@bobhope4949 Thank you for replying, it gives me an easy way to block another person who needs to look in the mirror. Yawn.
1
@bamboo851 The story of the unconscious person changed several times. I also heard that one of the roommates fainted, and was thus the unconscious person. And no, I didn't buy into that explanation, either. We don't have an explanation yet. I expect some unpleasant surprises. :/
1
@bamboo851 I don't have an opinion at all. I suspend judgment very easily. If it turns out, based on evidence tested in a court, that you're right, I will not be shocked at all. I even refuse to jump the gun and assume Kohberger is guilty. No, I am not a dupe of YT, and I don't own a television. I can maintain the presumption of innocence for everyone accused or suspected. It's not an opinion for me, it's a principle. I didn't believe anyone fainted either; nor did I deny it, actually. I don't know either way. I'm curious, do you have knowledge that is not available to the public? I don't expect you to answer, but you seem to be speaking as though you did. I'm sure there are people who do.
1
@leaf16nut Then you have no understanding of what a probable cause affidavit is. Sorry to burst your bubble. No, there is no reason to believe it contains an exact quote. Police aren't biographers. Not their goal.
1
@leaf16nut Actually, it's you who's not worth my time, but that's the new Low Self-Awareness gig.
1
Did you make a report to VAERS?
1
1. Do not condemn her. Agreed. We don't know the facts. 2. DO NOT NORMALIZE NOT CALLING 911. Just . . . don't. 3. Write short stories and enter contests. Or write for recorded books.
1
@olgagiles5773 A probable cause affidavit is just that -- and what it contains is technically hearsay. Sometimes police do not take down a statement exactly as the person gave it. If she is required to be a witness at trial, then we may find out what happened. Right now, we don't know. But what we do know is that she offered information to police to help catch the murderer.
1
Does Vargas think Johnson doesn't represent the defeat of the incumbent?
1
No, no one should attack her, but investigators do have to find out why she didn't, for sure, not fro a distance. This requires a dispassionate investigation. Everything else is less than justice. Everything else is speculation. For those who are damning her, I would just say that clearly she provided this information of her own volition. We wouldn't know this without her cooperation. So, that is a good start.
1
@chilo8187 OH PLEASE. I was just reading a brilliant book on medical ethics, and you pipe up with this. Maybe they just weren't Attracting Abundance? Risible.
