Seems to be going the opposite way, as one would expect.

Only the top 10% are both secure and stable; the next 10% are certainly doing well, and are comfortable, now, but a serious illness or accident can derail them. They can lose everything they worked for. Look to who can self-finance a retirement, and all or most of their children's college education. That is not the top 20%; that is the top 10% at best. Those are two fundamental things that every social democracy provides; goes without saying.
